Art work "A Remembrance of the Time -Plants- in Shihoro"
Explanation of the Project

The 1st stage
Time: Summer, From August to September, For two months
Place: Shihoro Town

Yumiko Yamazaki makes 12 square hole; the size is 65cm_ 98cm, 2cm deep; on the surface of the plain in Shihoro. The size of it is the same as Washi "Nisanjaku" that is produced in Mino.

Within a period of time; about 2 months; she waits for the seed of the plants that is carried there by wind, rain, birds and natural happenings to grow. And she leaves the change of the plants that is growing in a record by video and photo.



Everyday within a certain period of time, she sends the images of the growth of the plants there via the Internet. 2 months later, she collects those plants without changing the layout and the position.


The 2nd stage

Time: Autumn
Place: Mino City

She puts the plants that were collected into washi paper at Mino Washi museum.

The 3rd stage

Exhibition
