Tsukuba meteorite fall and explosion
(Eyewitness from Kasuga town Nerima ward in Tokyo)

It was clear blue sky at 4:13 p.m. January 7. 1996.

The blue sky grew true blue at evening.

There was a white trail. I noticed something at tip of the trail.

A light gray substance was moving and pouring a smoky white trail.

The mysterious object flew from the south-southwest

and passed through over head to the east-northeast.

When I witnessed that, I didn't notice that was a meteorite.

I thought what was that and I observed that seriously.

I didn't hear any sound in the watching . But past 3 or 5 minutes after that,

I heard boom sound from all around the surface of earth .

The sound didn't become like echo .

This sound occurred from explosion at the time of the fig.7.

This explosion split one substance into about 9 objects.

The object was big as a Jumbo jet at the time of the fig.1.

The fallen objects on the ground were small,

but it had been very big when it had been flying in the sky .

This meteorite is called "Tsukuba meteorite" because it fell at Tsukuba .
